![]() The ARRL has introduced a new "Field Day Locator" this year! (I'd like to think they liked my site so much they started their own, but I digress...) I will be posting local sites again this year as I've always done and introducing a NEW website dedicated to Field Day! I need a couple of more days to pull it together! In the mean time, use the link above to list your site on the ARRL's Field Day Locator and get out there and have fun!!! 73 from K6RIX!!! What is Field Day? Field Day is officially a nation wide Amateur Radio operating event. The purpose is: to demonstrate the communications ability of the amateur radio community in simulated emergency situations. Groups across the continent use Field Day as a literal "show and tell" exhibition. From various types of sites all over the globe, amateur radio brings together its resources to show officials in government and various agencies what "amateur radio can do in the event of an emergency."
